Waking up to sunrise in a train that is just beginning to cross the Rocky Mountains is hard to beat. Even more unbeatable: The weather. Peaks that are only cloud-free for less than ten days per year were perfectly visible. And by night, the moonlit, snowy Saskatchewan plains are a serene sight.
